Our journey started at 05h15, destination Lion Sands.  We arrived there at 11h30 and were welcomed at the gate by a beautiful black rhino,well not right at the gate luckily but a mere 50 meters away ; p  Then a couple hundred meters up the dirt road we came upon 2 stubborn male giraffe who refused to give way for a good 5 minutes. It was great!!!

We were warmly welcomed by the fantastic staff at the lodge and then got straight to capturing the special moments of Catherine and Paul’s special day.  Catherine looked stunning in her vintage styled wedding dress. 

During the ceremony we were joined by a herd of elephants who were enjoying themselves at a nearby watering hole.  A more beautiful setting one couldn’t wish for! 

The creative shoot was even more exciting than usual as we were accompanied by a ranger and his R4 rifle.  The reason being that there are a lot of hippos, lion and buffalo in the surrounding area.  The light was fading fast but we managed to bang out some absolutely fabulous shots - here are some for you to enjoy…

P.S.  Just wanted to mention that the 6 course meal was prepared to perfection and the accompanying wines were delicious…

This beautiful wedding took place at The Moon and Sixpence in Muldersdrift.  Lianne (with her classic beauty) and Jaco were great to photograph and we got some really stunning images from the big day.  Here are a few that I would like to share with you.

Now that I’ve wiped the sweat off my brow and my head is above water, I can finally get back to my wedding blog!  I must admit that I do feel rather rusty.

I’ve been busy editing all the autumn weddings and designing wedding albums.  But now most of the editing is complete and the albums have been dropped off at the printers.

We had a fabulous autumn season and I got to photograph some stunning weddings and meet amazing people.

 Well it was another one of those typical summer days that we seem to be having.  Yup, overcast and drizzling.  Lucky for me, Jacque and Adelé were such a chilled out couple they let me drag them and their umbrella’s around the venue finding little dry spots here and there to do the creative shoot.  We got some really stunning photos that we wouldn’t have been able to get were they not so willing to dodge the mud puddles : )

Thanks for being such a cool couple to work with - though the work “work” feels like the wrong word to use! 

This beautiful wedding took place at  The Moon and Sixpence in Muldersdrift. 

A couple weeks back we had the pleasure of capturing Zanandi and Pieter’s wedding which took place at the beautiful Dawsons Lodge Daswons Lodge in Mpumalanga.  Zanandi looked stunning, and when she walked down the isle she took everyone’s breath away - the perfect bride!  And lets not forget Pieter who looked dashing in his cream suit ; )  We had an awesome time, and working with Zanandi and Pieter made it feel like no work at all but rather a fun day out in the bush.
