Jatinga, Wedding Venues »

This past weekend we were in Mpumalanga photographing Paula and Graham’s wedding. It was really hot the last time we were there, but this time the weather was lovely.
I was really stoked when we arrived at the venue. Paula and Graham chose a very romantic setting for their wedding, which I think suited them down to the ground. If anyone is considering getting married in White River and looking for a picturesque venue set amongst established old trees alongside a meandering river, then Jatinga is the place to check out.
The wedding went smoothly except for one small hick-up - the DJ ended up on the other side of the country!!! I don’t know how that happened…
Happy ending though, they found a DJ in Nelspruit, who ROCKED!!! …….they even played some INXS :oP
I hope you guys are having a great honeymoon and I will have a couple wedding pics on the blog before you get back.

ENJOY!!!!

I got to second shoot for Dror at Shepstone Gardens at the end of January.  Here are a few killer shots of Tova and Brad that I just had to share with you (I think the photos say it all).

Grand Kruger Lodge, Wedding Venues, Weddings »

This past weekend we photographed a wedding at the Grand Kruger Lodge (a round trip of just over a 1 000Km’s).  We left on the Friday morning and it rained pretty much the entire journey (yes, more rain).

However, on Saturday we woke up to beautiful blue skies with slim streaks of wispy white clouds which resulted in a beautiful backdrop for the creative shoot which took place later that afternoon (it didn’t rain but the humidity was at a staggering 87%).

Michelle and Aaron, who flew out from New Zealand to have their wedding in the bush, were very chilled-out and great to work with - real naturals in front of the camera (and I think it shows in the photos).

This shot was taken late that afternoon, just before the sun made its departure…

I frequently get asked if I take black and white wedding photos.  The answer to that question is a definite YES.  I am a bit of a colour addict which is probably why I always post the  colour photos on my blog.  Though, I must say that nothing beats a classic black and white photo (I too love black and white for those of you who are wondering about that).

So today I am going to break away from the colour photos and instead post some killer black and white shots of Michelle getting ready.
